Christmas Tree and Market Sale 2008
During the weekend of the 13th and 14th December, the annual Burbage Christmas tree sale, and market, was held on the Church Green, and at the Church Centre. For the second year running the weather was truly unkind, with heavy rain turning the Church Green into a bit of a mudbath. Despite the weather though, spirits remained high and large numbers turned out in force to support this annual event in aid of the Church maintenance fund. As in previous years, apart from the various varieties of Christmas trees available, the Church Centre had a large selection of festive table decorations, cards, and other handmade crafts etc. A warming cup of tea or coffee was also available to all visitors free of charge throughout the day, with a small charge being made for hotdogs etc.
All Saint's Church would like to thank all those involved in the organising of this event, and for those involved over the two days, for their support and help with the various jobs and tasks that made this such a successful weekend, with over £5,000 being raised.
